With the wide variety of facial cleansers available at Shoppers Drug Mart it can be quite the task to find your perfect match. While Beauty Advisors are always there to help you, it’s important to have an idea of the types of formulations you should be using for your specific skin concerns. To make this a little easier, I’ve broken down the different types of facial cleansers you can use and what skin types they work best for. Hope this helps!

Skin Care Lesson: Face Wash for Acne Prone Skin

Suzanne, Cosmetic Magazine - Store 990, North York

Skin Care

Choosing skin care products is never cut and dry and you need to have a good understanding of your skin before you provide it with a prescription for caring. No matter what your skin care concern, it’s all about using the right products to treat your specific skin concerns to ensure you use products that will effectively improve your skin.

Simple Steps to a Thorough Face Wash

June Zaroda, Beauty BOUTIQUE Manager - Store 898, Richmond Hill

Skin Care

As a Beauty Advisor, I am constantly asked as to why washing the face is important. We need to wash our face thoroughly morning and night to remove dirt, makeup and oils that can build up on the skin. While washing your face may appear to be the simplest task, you’d be surprised how many people don’t do it right.

Getting Cheeky With It

Andrew, Beauty BOUTIQUE Manager - Store 909, Kanata

When I began my foray into makeup artistry, I concentrated so much on perfecting my eyes and lips that blush was an insignificant afterthought; the unimportant step. Well... that and a truly scarring experience when I was too heavy-handed with a high-octane brick colour back in the early 90's. Chalk it up to negative reinforcement or just a plain lack of respect for cheeks in general, but I once sent many a pasty girl with flawless smoky eyes and lifeless, sad cheeks to a Glamazombie-prom-picture fate. My Zombrides didn't fare any better. To you all, my apologies. Only time and practice got me through the 'gaunt years' and I finally came to see the errors of my un-contouring ways.

Autumn’s Anonymous

Andrew, Beauty BOUTIQUE Manager - Store 909, Kanata

Eyes,Lips

Hello, my name is Drew, and I am a fall junky. (Hi Drew!) Though I love
all of what summer has to offer, I have to admit that when I feel the
change in the air and see the first leaf change colour and curl, I have a
permanent smile on my face. As an artist, my fancy is fickle, and after
three months of using one season's pallets, my gaze is always stolen by
the newest inspirations and shades, never more so than when rounding
into September.
