We’ve already extolled the virtues of brightening up your beauty routine with a stunning luminous eye or a swipe of bright lipstick—but now there’s a new way to get that natural glow, and it’s called ‘sun stripping’.
‘Stripping’ or ‘sun stripping’ is a new bronzing technique that mimics sun-kissed luminosity by applying a simple strip of matte bronzer across the areas where sunlight would naturally fall on your face. The result is a glam and more authentic glow that frees you up from hassle of face-sculpting.
#SunStripping How To:
Step 1: Apply your foundation and makeup as usual, but keep it simple—do not contour, highlight or strobe! Try: Stila Illuminating Liquid Foundation
Step 2: Using a matte bronzer and a compact or kabuki brush (don’t forget to tap away excess powder), start at the centre of your nose drawing a strip across the apples of your cheeks up to the top of your ear on either side of the face. Try: Fusion Beauty Glow Fusion Bronzer and Quo Pro Deluxe Bronzer Brush.
Step 3: With a blush brush, gently buff the edges to blend the bronzer seamlessly. Try: Quo Pro Blush Brush.
Step 4: Finish your look by highlighting or strobing around the eye area, paying special attention to the brow bone and just below the upper cheekbone, to add that luminous glow. Try: Benefit High Beam.
