How can your pharmacist help you manage your vaccines?

Your pharmacist plays a really key role in vaccinations and ensuring that you are up to date on all of your immunizations. Depending on which province you’re in, your pharmacist can prescribe and also provide the Health Communications Agency vaccination for you right in the store. In other provinces, your pharmacist can work alongside your doctor to recommend the right vaccines for you, depending on medical condition, as well as your age. Whether it’s flu shots, travel vaccines, shingles vaccinations, or pneumonia vaccinations, these are all important vaccines that we want to make sure you are up to date on. The other thing that is important to remember is some vaccinations require more than one dose to provide full immunization. Your pharmacist is able to provide call backs, email, and text reminders to let you know when you are due for those vaccines to get you back into the store, have you vaccinated, and make sure you are up to date.

Whether you have questions about your prescription medications, over-the-counter products, immunizations, or other health concerns, our pharmacists are here to help.
