How has COVID-19 affected the mental health of Canadians?

Covid-19 for sure had a heavy toll on Canadians. 50 percent of Canadians reported worsened mental health conditions during the pandemic. I mean, if you look at it you would say that there is a mental health pandemic that is in parallel with the COVID pandemic, and there would be so many reasons. We would say the social isolation, the fear of infection, loss of employment, anxiety levels have doubled, and of course some people are more vulnerable than others. Among the most vulnerable people would be essential workers, for sure, we would also mention people who have kids at home, people who lost their employment, and of course people who had pre-existing mental illnesses.
