How to talk to your kids about mental health?

Speaking to our children about mental illness is extremely important. The earlier the intervention, if needed, the better our children learn to cope as adults. Oftentimes, warning symptoms may be that your child is acting differently, maybe becoming quieter or outbursts, or just not behaving the way they normally would. Those would be cues, as a parent, to have the conversation with your child. There are numerous resources available, many of those online, if you would like to navigate that, or having issues with that, our Shoppers Drug Mart hub certainly does have some great resources. And if you did have difficulty going through those processes, you can certainly reach out to your community pharmacist.

Whether you have questions about your prescription medications, over-the-counter products, immunizations, or other health concerns, our pharmacists and registered dietitians are here to help.
