I had a flu vaccine last year, so I don’t need to get one this year.
Everyone six months of age and older should receive an annual influenza vaccine, with very few exceptions, such as severe allergy to one of the ingredients. Flu virus strains change constantly. Each year, new vaccines are made to protect us against the viruses that are being spread that particular season. Because of this, the vaccine that you had last year may not work against this year's viruses. Also, your protection from the flu vaccine decreases over time. Yearly vaccination really is your best chance to stay protected.
Whether you have questions about your prescription medications, over-the-counter products, immunizations, or other health concerns, our pharmacists and registered dietitians are here to help.
