The flu vaccine causes severe reactions and side effects.

Flu vaccines are safe and well tolerated, especially the flu shot. Before a vaccine can be given, years of research are completed, followed by testing and retesting in order to prove the vaccine is safe and effective. This testing doesn't stop there. Even after the vaccine is in use, it’s safety continues to be checked by scientists who review it, and doctors, nurses, and pharmacists who give it. After a flu shot, the most common minor side effects include soreness, redness and swelling at the injection site, and occasionally fevers and aches. These generally last no longer than a day, and you are far more likely to suffer from a vaccine preventable disease, than from a reaction to the vaccine itself.

Whether you have questions about your prescription medications, over-the-counter products, immunizations, or other health concerns, our pharmacists are here to help.
