Why should I get tested for COVID-19?

As we progress through the COVID-19 pandemic, we are currently entering a phase where many people will be returning to work, and children will be returning to school. This may increase the risk of transmission due to the increase in social contact outside the home. This is why we are encouraging individuals to come in and get tested to help mitigate these risks and reduce the risk of transmission. Knowing whether or not you are carrying the virus, especially in asymptomatic cases will help individuals take the necessary steps to self-isolate and reduce further spread of the disease. Children are also absolutely able to get the asymptomatic COVID-19 test at the pharmacy as well, just simply call the pharmacy to ensure that the pharmacist that is conducting the test is comfortable with the age of the child being tested. There is no specific age restriction.
